On our adventure to the Bahamas, what better port of departure than Jacksonville, Florida, a metropolis replete with hotels, restaurants, attractions and nightclubs. "Jax," as it's known to its residents, still has a number of quaint, older neighborhoods to explore. There are also plenty of beaches, golf courses and state parks to enjoy.
Half Moon Cay is located on 55-acres of the 2,400-acre Little San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. Half Moon Cay is the home of an international bird sanctuary and offers plenty to do, such as horseback riding on the sand and through the surf, take a stingray adventure, visit the Half Moon Lagoon Aqua Park, hike a nature trail or simply relax in an air-conditioned, private beachfront cabana.
From the stretches of perfect white-san dy beaches with their gracefully swaying coconut palms to the warm, crystal-clear waters with incredible multi-colored marine life, Nassau is remarkably beautiful. Whether you spend the day shopping for duty-free gifts and mementos, taking a carriage ride past sorbet-colored buildings, or touring in a glass-bottom boat, chances are you'll leave this happy place in the Bahamas with lots of beautiful memories.
Your days at sea will be full of polymer clay classes.
